On 25 July and the days surrounding this day, the Patron Saint Fiestas of Santiago and Santa Ana are held. In the past they were held next to the respective hermitages, with popular festivities, bullfights, installation of attractions, evenings and dances, and nowadays, in the city's fairgrounds. The name of ‘Santiaguito’ comes from the small size of the primitive image, a popular saying that also transformed Santa Ana into ‘Santa Anita’.
